MCSE Courses
MSCE stands for Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and because of Microsoft’s dominance of the software sector, and its status as the best networking course, this represents one of the most coveted standards in the IT industry.
MSCE courses will give you the ability to implement, manage and design a Microsoft Windows network infrastructure. Basically, it will mean that once qualified, a person will be able to maintain a whole server on their own if need be. This includes file security management, user profiles, implementing active directories and troubleshooting a whole range of server systems.
Furthermore, a MCSE course will lead to an understanding of network access infrastructure and complete confidence with Microsoft Windows 2003 servers.
Some MCSE courses are held over 20 days, so there is a lot of information to digest and exploit, and it would follow a certain pattern of tutorials and tests. The first day’s contents, by way of an example, would usually consist of initially a comprehensive overview of Microsoft Windows 2003 servers, which would include setup options, network configuration and the troubleshooting of server hardware devices.
By day four, the MCSE course would be moving onto the server environment and key situations, including printer management.
During day ten, it would be hotting up with the topic that interests many office managers, the management of disaster recovery. This part of the course would include disaster recovery preparation, the restoration of data and the implementation of a full restore operation.
By day 14, the typical MSCE course would have moved onto managing both a web server and a terminal server. And at this stage, it would also touch on updating a server with the regular Microsoft software updates which are regularly issued to help maintain system integrity.
A typical MSCE course would finish with a section on key infrastructure, including network load balancing and clustering services. And most courses would then let their students have some practical time to absorb what they have just learnt with a fully functional server system.
And the cost of taking one of the most coveted courses in the IT industry, the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, not much change from £1,500. But, it’s money well spent.
